The room was clean but could have been cleaner and didn’t smell very fresh.You couldn’t open the windows so it was very hot and stuffy.The bar was closed on the 1st night which was a bit of a surprise. All in all it was ok but we wouldn’t book to stay there again.

Great Nostalgic hotel, beautifully appointed rooms and the location was perfect to visit the city of Edinburgh.

We actually ended up staying at the sister hotel to the Inn on the Mile. As much as we chose it and wanted to stay there, the hotels.com booking was clear on our stipulations for the room, but that didn’t show on the reservation that way for the hotel. They could have just said, “too bad”. Instead they gave us a lovely upgraded room at the Scotsman Hotel. It was amazing! The breakfast was amazing and the cafe attached was also great. The neighborhood was amazing and made seeing all the things we wanted to see easy and accessible! Absolutely loved this hotel and the really helpful, attentive staff.

Great room close to all of the attractions in the city. Room had all the amenities needed for a couple of days in Edinburgh.

Very central location indeed. Despite the Three sisters bar downstairs and the football games going on we did not get disturbed. We got the XXL room for 5. Property was clean and staff friendly. Walking distance to most of Edinburgh’s attractions and to the Royal Mile.
